The Seahorses
Anyone a fan? I really love their album, "Do It Yourself" and the song with Liam Gallagher of course
Re: The Seahorses
I love that album its so under-rated
the second one wasnt bad, but it was never actually released

I think they where pish....if squire hadn't been involed they wouldn't have sold any records. Love is the law was alright. But the rest was rubbish. Chris Helme was awful live.

D'oh Emz you beat me to it on this subject.
I love 'do it yourself' there was a second album that wasnt released and it wasnt quite on par as the debut tbh.
Didnt John Squire find the singer busking outside Marks and Spencers and ask him to join a band? lol
So many great tracks but my face has to be 'Blinded by the Sun'

Do It Yourself will go down as a hidden gem of the brit pop 90's era by future generations. It's a classic 1 hit wonder album. I loved it @ the time. Love is The Law has epic lyrics & riff!
I saw the Seahorses @ T In The Park 97/98 & they were pretty good from what I remember. After the set we ran over to see Ian Brown in the NME Tent. Primal scream were on the day before too & I remeber saying I had saw the Roses that weekend, albeit in differnt bands!
It was an exciting time for music & the Seahorses defo added to that for me.

BUMP!
Great band imo, the debut and unreleased album are class. I really like tombraid from the 2nd album, seems to be an ode to lara croft dont ask me how, but ive managed to amass a decent collection of live gigs by them, including a coupla songs that werent on the 1st or 2nd albums

They had some good songs - Love is the Law (listen to that guitar solo!), Talk to Me, Blinded by the Sun, but were ultimately such a let down after Stone Roses.
Hope Beady Eye will be better.
