Ricky Hatton Hospitalised
British boxer Ricky Hatton has been hospitalized in his native Manchester after complaining of chest and stomach pains.
Hatton, 30, remains in hospital after being admitted early Tuesday. The fighter's father told the Manchester Evening News that swine flu has been ruled out, but doctors are still trying to determine the cause of his distress.
The fighter, who has been a force in the 140-pound junior welterweight division for the past six years, has often revelled in his love for food and drink, ballooning in weight by as many as 50 pounds in-between fights.
Hatton (45-2, 32 knockouts) is at the crossroads of his career after being demolished in two rounds by Manny Pacquiao in December. There has been interest in matching Hatton in a British superfight with Bolton's Amir Khan, provided Khan beats Andreas Kotelnik on Saturday.
Hope he is ok and makes a speedy recovery!
