Nirvana/Kurt Cobain
I know everyone says how talented he was and how much of a waste it was, the normal when someone remotley talented dies. I don't really buy into the tortured genius thing. He died because he was sick of his addiction and couldn't see an end.
Fucking hell he could write a song and he always did what he wanted. That MTV unplugged album is outstanding (my mum likes it and shes 66!!)
The Book Heavier Than Heaven By Charles R Cross is a great read and go's along way to explain why Kurt was the way he was. Anyone interested in music should read it really.
If ever there was a poster boy for NOT doing crack then he's it!! Great Band, great songs, brilliant song writer.
I like Dave Grohl as a bloke (not that I've met him!!) but the Foo Fighters I don't like em!!

Love Nirvana and Kobain.
Not a fan of Foo Fighters except a couple of tracks but David Grohl... Well

Love Nirvana, and Kurt Cobain is another one of those chaps that inspired me to pick up a guitar.
I have shit loads of books on Kurt which are all a great read.
Foo Fighters - Like them a lot, more of a singles band rather than an albums band though. Awesome live!
Couls sit here all day and chat about Kurt
